Allie Burns

Allie spent nearly a decade at Village Capital, the global venture development organization for impact-driven entrepreneurs, rising from COO to Managing Director to CEO (2019–2025). Under her leadership, Village Capital operated in more than 70 countries with a $10M+ annual budget, more than tripled its topline revenue, and directed investment-readiness and capital-access support for 1,800+ entrepreneurs, with a focus on underrepresented founders and emerging markets. She scaled the organization's peer-selected investment model into 150+ portfolio companies that went on to raise more than $8B in follow-on capital, and led the introduction of Abaca, a proprietary technology platform that expanded the organization's reach to more than 35,000 entrepreneurs.

She built anchor funder relationships with institutions including JPMorgan Chase, Visa Foundation, MetLife, Moody's, IFC/World Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and the Norwegian Development Agency, and led a remote-first global team of 50+ staff across eight countries.

Earlier in her career, she was Senior Vice President at the Case Foundation and Revolution, where she was a founding team member of the Startup America Partnership, which launched 32 state-level chapters and a network of 13,000+ startups within two and a half years, and helped design and launch the Rise of the Rest initiative alongside Steve Case.

Allie serves on the advisory board of LendforGood and the board of Foundations in Learning, the edtech company behind WordFlight. She previously co-led the Access to Capital Workstream for the U.S. Economic Development Administration's National Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship and advised the Obama Foundation's Inclusive Capital Working Group.
